Who do you work with?

Athletes from 6th grade to College. Junior high years are a great place to start building a foundation of strength, flexibility, athleticism and proper throwing mechanics. You need to be very careful on athletes’ growth plates that have not fully matured. I have raised 3 boys that played baseball in high school and college. You do need to be aware of playing too much and not having safe and proper resistant training program. 

I work with athletes in High School who are taking time off that need to rebuild themselves. Over playing and over training are real concerns. High School Pitchers and players that are concerned and do not have an elite strength program. And want to build elite arm talent.

Where did you learn what is the best type of training for Baseball Players & Pitchers?

I mentioned I have 3 boys who have played High School and College Baseball. As a father I have researched and coached every strategy you can find online. My kids had talent, but the phone was not ringing off the hook from colleges and scouts. They were right under the cut off of what colleges or the pros wanted out of high school. So they had to build themselves. They were starters in high school and all through travel ball. They played the field and pitched and were very good. I had a very good understanding on how to develop a child athlete and make it fun. As a Father I realized I needed to put my kids in front of expert advisors to develop their athleticism, develop their speed, develop their strength and develop their skills once they wanted something more for themselves. So for 25 years my kids worked with some of the top trainers all over the United States. Sometimes my kids learned a lot and sometimes they learned a little. But they always learned. So did I. I learned what works. I learned every athlete is different and to get them to excel and grow they need to focus on what works for them. Just working on fundamentals is not enough. First you need to clearly define the fundamentals. And, understand training techniques that build your body to excel those fundamentals to elite execution.

My son throws hard, what do you recommend for him?

You want his arm to last without injury. Many times gifted kids put a lot of stress on their arm and body. If that body does not build on its Strength, Power, Athleticism and Mobility it will breakdown. That is why you don’t see kids that are Ace Pitchers from the little league World Series make it the MLB or College. Many times early bloomers that throw hard lack the work ethic and knowledge that keeps them at a plateau. I have seen a lot of kids that were throwing freaks in junior high stop growing and did not even start for there Varsity high school team.

Where do you train and when do you train? 

I have my own training facility in Menifee Ca. for players that go to school, I offer 3 different training sessions a day 3 times a week. Start times at 3pm, 4:30 and 6pm. I do offer other training times for Baseball players who are taking a gap year of training. Training sessions are one hour long. With 30 minutes of homework everyday. I do believe in training during the season. Sometimes that is tough. I need to know the full schedule of my athletes to make sure we do not over train.

First give me a call to discuss your athletes needs. I need to know where they are at and where they want to go. I will never forget the conversations with dads that wish they stopped or limited a lot of the travel ball and spent more time and money on training and building their sons athletic abilities.. I charge $30 per training session.
